About us
Summit Future Foundation is a Kansas City based nonprofit that was founded on the belief that all individuals, regardless of their ability level, have the right to lead a meaningful life that includes employment and being an active participant in their community.
Our program leadership team is comprised of dynamic professionals who carryout the day to day functions of our operations, programs and services.
Cassidi Jobe
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Cassidi Jobe is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Summit Future Foundation, where she leads strategic growth, financial stewardship, and mission-driven operations to expand competitive, integrated employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Her leadership is shaped by both executive expertise and lived experience as a parent of two children on the Autism Spectrum, one of whom experiences profound support needs. Her personal journey as a parent advocate fuels her commitment to ensuring individuals with disabilities have access to meaningful employment, independence, and full participation in their communities.
Cassidi works closely with the Board of Directors, Administrative, and Program Leadership team to strengthen governance, ensure long-term sustainability, and cultivate community partnerships that advance inclusive opportunities for those we serve. She remains dedicated to creating systems that recognize and elevate the strengths, contributions, and potential of people with disabilities.
Alex Blackburn
Administrative Assistant
A lifelong Kansas Citian, Alex brings a strong background in community engagement, nonprofit administration, and leadership development. He earned his Master of Business Administration with a certification in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in May 2024 and is also a proud University of Kansas alumnus.
Alex’s professional journey reflects his deep commitment to supporting others in achieving meaningful, inclusive lives. His involvement in Kansas City’s rugby community—as both a coach for the Platte County Rugby Club and player for Northland RFC—demonstrates his dedication to teamwork, mentorship, and local connection.
Driven by a passion for community impact and empowerment, Alex shares Summit Future Foundation’s vision of helping youth and young adults with developmental disabilities lead purposeful, inclusive lives. His enthusiasm for the Foundation’s mission, combined with his local roots and experience in fostering collaboration, make him a wonderful addition to our team.
Richard Thompson
Development and Outreach Coordinator
Richard is a professional nonprofit fundraiser who has more than five years of experience in the field. In the past, he has fundraised for organizations helping youth with cancer, as well as homeless youth.
His passion for helping youth, and the desire for everyone to feel included, regardless of ability level, led him to join our mission here at Summit Future Foundation. He is enjoying fundraising for us and meeting our program participants.
When he's not working, Richard's favorite activities are watching sports, especially the Chiefs, karaoke, watching movies, being involved with his church, social events, and listening to punk bands, like Green Day and The Clash.

Jennifer Swisher
Community Engagement Services Coordinator
Jennifer has been Summit’s Social and Recreational Activities Coordinator since December of 2021. She began her career with Summit as a Community Support Professional in February of that year. While in that role she was able to form relationships with those we serve in their homes and in the community. Prior to joining Summit, she worked in private home services, enabling others to live independently.
Her passion for helping others, in addition to her outgoing personality, aligns well as the Social and Recreational Activities Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for organizing and executing the numerous group programs we provide to both our teens and adults.
Jennifer played a key role in Summit’s 2022 CARF Accreditation, ensuring that policies and procedures are documented, scalable and relevant to the growth of Summit Future Foundation. Because of her impact on both the clients that we serve, as well as the organization as a whole, she was the 2022 recipient of Summit’s Team Member of the Year Award.

Over the past eight years, Halie has supported individuals with disabilities in a wide range of roles, including teaching high school and post-secondary special education, facilitating independent living and social skills groups, providing job development and job coaching services, and managing both pre-vocational and community-based employment programs. She is passionate about creating more inclusive and accessible communities and empowering individuals with disabilities to lead meaningful, self-directed lives.
Outside of work, Halie enjoys thrifting, attending concerts, reading mystery novels, playing board games with her husband, and watching police procedurals or medical dramas while curled up with her pup.
From the Executive Director
As Summit Future Foundation brings our sixth year of supporting teens and young adults to a close, we are humbled as we reflect on the support we have received, and the progress we have made. As we look ahead to the future of our organizations work, we are invigorated by the growth our organization has seen as a result of the needs we are fulfilling, and compelled to press forward in order to ensure that every teen and young adult in our community has the opportunity to lead a meaningful and inclusive life. Our organization would not have the ability to have positively impacted so many lives in such a short period of time if it had not been for the many supporters who have attended our special events, made private donations, or other contributions to further our cause. For that we are so incredibly grateful.
We also want to send our gratitude to the families who have trusted us to join them along their journey of empowering their child to reach their fullest potential. While we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we remain committed to find new and innovative ways to ensure those we support have the ability to lead a full and admiral life as an active member of their community.
